About Department
Hindi is Our National language everybody should know this language because it is very easy to communicate and learn. It connects the people of Kashmir to Kanyakumari and it is widely spoken language. In INDIA this is the very scientific language because it is pronounced as it is written. The Alphabets i.e. Vowels and Consonants are placed in scientific order unlike English. For these reasons it was declared as National Language of INDIA in the Constitution. In this present time of Globalization the importance of Hindi has enhanced as it is used in daily life as well as public and private sectors, Government Offices, Banks and Companies.
This is the reason these Institutions are Employing Hindi Officers and Translators every year. The aim and Objective of teaching Hindi is to make the students able face the Competitions in this present time of Globalization.
The Department of Hindi has its existence since 1977 in Government Degree College Avanigadda. Hindi is being taught as a Second Language in 3 UG Programs Viz., B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. At present, the department is functioning with one faculty member and around 30 students.

To improve speaking listening reading and writing skills in Hindi to all the
students
To create interest to opt for Hindi as a major subject in higher education
To make the students creative and research oriented.
To raise the standard of our students to global level and make them employable.
To provide a platform to the students to exhibit their talents & creativity.
Mission:
To provide education not only to acquire knowledge but also to inculcate a sound philosophy for a holistic living.
To encourage self evaluation, personality development & guide the students to strive towards perfection and competence.
To provide our students a technologically up-to- date & intellectually inspiring environment of learning, research, creativity innovation & professional activity and inculcate in them ethical and moral values.
Department of Hindi provides excellent teaching and learning environment with its focus on continuing education.
